Arriving on the UK shores somewhere around 2010, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are now pretty big here, with most high street and even some luxury stores taking part in the shopping extravaganza. Traditionally, Black Friday was all about in-store bargains, while Cyber Monday — the Monday after Black Friday — focused on the biggest online savings. These days, though, the two events have merged into one extended shopping spree, with discounts running both online and in-store throughout the final weekend of November — and often starting even earlier.
When is Black Friday 2025?
Black Friday falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving each year, so the date shifts annually. In 2025, it lands on Friday, 28 November, with Cyber Monday following on 1 December. That said, the sales aren’t limited to one weekend anymore – many retailers started dropping discounts as early as the beginning of November and will keep them running right through Cyber Monday.
