Why we love it: Hotel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel, is a luxury landmark in Place de la Concorde, one of the most beautiful city squares in the world. Why we love it: Opened during Paris Fashion Week in 2022, SO/ Hotel Paris has made no secret of its ambition to become a favoured spot for the fashion pack. Why we love it: At La Réserve Paris you can live out all your aristocratic fantasies – after all, this decadent, Haussman-style building was built for the Duc de Morny (Napoléon III’s brother). Think velvet drapes, parquet flooring and brocade sofas, and you’ll be on the right lines. There’s a fabulous spa which specialises in anti-ageing treatments, plus rather unusually for Paris, an indoor swimming pool of large proportions. Why we love it: The Four Seasons Hotel George V is old world glamour at its finest. Best for: Perfectly placed to explore Place Vendôme, the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries and other attractions in the 1st arrondissement.
Why we love it: Situated in the 1st arrondissement, the Mandarin Oriental Paris is a great base to explore this chic neighbourhood's most iconic sights including Place Vendôme, Jardin des Tuileries and the nearby Musée d’Orsay. This five-star hotel is classy and contemporary and has plenty of Parisian touches like the camellias dotted around the courtyard and a Swarovski crystal chandelier in the lobby. Little luxuries make any stay at the Mandarin Oriental special, and we especially like the champagne welcome and the indulgent pillow choice upon check-in (you can choose from goose down, memory foam and even silk pillowcases!).

Why we love it: Part of the buzzy Experimental Hotel Group, Grand Pigalle is a trendy boutique hotel that’s perfectly placed for exploring the vibrant local nightlife scene of this neighbourhood. If you’re the type to dance the night away, Grand Pigalle is close to all the Pigalle hotspots like Carmen, Hôtel Amour and Dirty Dick. It’s also close to the artsy neighbourhood of Montmartre, which was beloved by the likes of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Modigliani. Inside, the hotel is quirky cool, with retro geometric wallpapers and mid-century modern furnishings. We like the Italian restaurant which has some of the best trattoria dishes in the whole of Pigalle.

Best for: A chilled out stay.
Why we love it: Located in the elegant 16th arrondissement is the stylish Saint James Hotel in Paris. Colourful, chic and cosy interiors make this Chateau-style hotel one of our favourites on the Left Bank. It’s also right by the Louis Vuitton Foundation and just a quick walk away from Trocadero (the most Instagrammable spot for the Eiffel Tower) and the Palais de Tokyo. We like the great breakfast at Bellefeuille, the cosy library bar and the Guerlain Spa – which offers the most relaxing massage treatments in the city. There are 50 rooms in the Chateau, most in a joyful colour palette of marigolds and sunny yellows – adding plenty of sunshine.
