Glamour's associate beauty director, Fiona, was one of the first to try the new Dior Addict perfumes. After test-driving them for two months, these are her honest thoughts on the fruity-floral gourmand scents set to take over your Instagram feed this spring…
Perfume has a habit of taking itself very seriously. It's a mind-bending aphrodisiac; it smells like high-end hotel lobbies or boasts a laundry list of complex notes to tell you how clever it is. But sometimes life simply calls for the fragrance equivalent of a sugary, glowy lip oil to make you feel wildly happy – in which case, prepare to fall for the new Dior Addict perfumes.
At the Paris launch of the new fragrance trio – Peachy Glow, Rosy Glow and Purple Glow – a sun-dappled rooftop apartment was transformed into a Marie Antoinette-coded pick-and-mix station with towering glass jars and jewel-like sweets. Centre stage was a cake stand showcasing candy-coloured, high-sheen perfume bottles that looked uncannily like XXL versions of Dior's cult Lip Glow Oil.
And with good reason – Dior's perfume creation director, Francis Kurkdjian (who is also the man behind Baccarat Rouge 540), not only wants you to smell “good enough to eat”, but the juices themselves are inspired by the playfulness of this iconic makeup product. “I wanted something as easy to wear as the lip oil – something whimsical and playful,” Francis says. “Sometimes perfumes are very dramatic, dark and mysterious," he adds. "We need fun right now.”
Dior Addict perfumes: My review
Given the room's setup, my first thought was that my wrists were about to be blasted with the type of sickly-sweet ‘eau de dessert' that's catnip for tweens. I (thankfully) couldn't have been more wrong. My lips spontaneously curled into a smile as I inhaled a burst of flowers – Dior's signature rose, jasmine and iris – plump fruits and a hint of something nose-twitchingly comforting.
Make no mistake, the Rosy, Peachy and Purple Glow fragrances are definitely gourmand perfumes. But, rather than smell sticky, they're an elevated blend that somehow manages to make you smell sweet and sophisticated simultaneously. In other words, you're not in danger of anyone licking your neck but their joyful, cosy afterglow will make you feel like you're wrapped up in cashmere socks.
And, despite being dreamed up by a luxury brand, they avoid taking themselves too seriously. As their names suggest, Rosy Glow, Peachy Glow and Purple Glow are way too bright, happy and free-spirited than that – which is precisely why I've been spritzing them on repeat during the dark days of winter to give me a much-needed emotional boost.
“I composed the Rosy, Peachy and Purple Glow fragrances with a truly gourmand dimension and that touch of French je-ne-sais-quoi characterised by irreverence crossed with carefree, sensual youth,” Francis says, adding that they bring out the pulp and juiciness of the fruits but also the fruity part of floral scents for something seriously moreish.
Not to mention they're fun, collectable and they tap into the cultural move towards makeup maximalism and sensory indulgence, making them very on trend for 2026, too.
What do the Dior Addict perfumes smell like?
As someone who notoriously loves iris fragrances, you won't be surprised to know that Dior Addict Purple Glow is my favourite of the bunch. Being powdery, it's also the most mellow. It almost whispers its presence on your skin, with sweet raspberries conjuring up a dusting of icing sugar and candied fruit on your wrists. I'm obsessed with spritzing this on my winter jumpers.
Damascena rose is the star ingredient in Rosy Glow, which the brand likens to “biting into a rose-flavoured fondant cake topped with a creamy accord of lychee-scented dulce de leche.” If I had to put my money on one of these perfumes going viral with the TikTok It Girls, Rosy Glow is the surest bet – it's a pretty feminine scent that doesn't smell soapy or telegraph grandma vibes. Even more appealing: its cute pink packaging matches that of the Backstage Rosy Glow Sticks, Dior's ever popular hybrid blush/highlighters.
Five editors tested it to find out.

Peachy Glow is built around jasmine, with a hint of creamy vanilla, but the dominant smell is peach. It's syrupy and unapologetically a sugar high, making it a little too young for me personally. But I can guarantee a teenager will love it.
You can also match your scent to your lips as the new Dior Addict collection includes two new, reimagined Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil finishes. Infused with cherry oil, pH-activated technology for a custom tint and now offering 24 hours of hydration, Sparkly delivers a subtle iridescent shimmer while Glazed is for those who favour a high-shine jelly application. There are also now 16 shades in total to choose from, but I like pairing the new Dior Addict Juicy Lip Glow Oil in 041 Peachy with the Peachy Glow perfume to pull the whole look together.
