Is it just us, or did time really fly between last year's Golden Globes and this year's? We're still not over Emma Stone's pixie cut – the standout Golden Globes beauty look from 2025 – which has since grown out into a gorgeous bob. But as much as we're still extracting inspo from last January's ceremony, we've been so ready for all of the best looks of the Golden Globes 2026—the more-or-less official kick-off of this year's award show season.
With nominees like Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Cynthia Erivo, Kate Hudson, Amanda Seyfried, Ariana Grande, Elle Fanning, Teyana Taylor, Emily Blunt, Ayo Edebiri, Selena Gomez, Jenna Ortega, and—yes—Emma Stone, it was inevitable that the Golden Globes beauty looks for 2026 would be both abundant and unforgettable, much like the movie and TV performances that earned them their accolades.
Here are our favourite hair, makeup and nail looks that will be inspiring the way we get ready all year long.
Selena Gomez
Nominee and newlywed Selena Gomez looked like a vintage vision at the Golden Globes, with no detail left to chance. Hairstylist Renato Campora used Joico Dream Blowout Glass and JoiWhip Firm Hold Designing Foam to ensure her deeply side-parted bob was styled in precisely sculpted waves that framed a makeup look that's bound to be copied by anyone who loves a deep lip.
The satiny burgundy colour takes centre stage, supported by the softest of winged liner and generously highlighted cheekbones. The look was made modern by a simple black manicure—nail artist Tom Bachik used Chanel Le Vernis Longwear Nail Colour in Le Diable en Chanel—the perfect accessory to her feathery black and cream off-the-shoulder dress.
Amanda Seyfried
It seems sculptural hair may be having a big moment at the Golden Globes, with Amanda Seyfried entering the chat in her elegant updo. Her shortest layers have been deeply side-swept into a gorgeous, retro wave—Renato used the GHD Chronos Curve Curling Iron —while the bulk of her hair is drawn up into a sophisticated, low bun. Her rosy lips and cheeks keep the look as classic as can be.
Jennifer Garner
We had to do a double-take when we saw Jennifer Garner hit the red carpet because holy ‘90s supermodel. Look at the volume and glossiness of that gorgeous hair! The deep side part, with plenty of oomph at the roots—you can thank hairstylist Adir Abergel using Virtue Volumizing Primer and shaping with the Denman D4 Original 9 Row Curl Definer & Styler brush for that—felt Veronica Lake-esque at times as it covered one eye from certain angles. But at no time was her skin not glowing through.
Ayo Edebiri
It's impossible to get bored with bobs when you see all the fun ways celebrities like Ayo Edebiri are wearing them. Her voluminous, chin-length look is largely swept away from her face, except for a dramatic swoop of bangs that playfully covers one of her brows. Thankfully, it doesn't obstruct her shimmering plum eye shadow—makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Rivoli—which plays off the tones of her glossy lip.
Emma Stone
Speaking of bobs, Emma Stone's is absolutely iconic. The middle part? The casually flippy ends? The way you can picture exactly how it would move on a windy day? Too good—and honestly, almost too easy to achieve even if you don't have hairstylist Mara Roszak in your contacts, thanks to RŌZ Air Thickening Spray, which gave Emma's hair so much body. And just like her hair, Emma's makeup is fresh and versatile, with a light hand that works for the red carpet and everyday outings alike.
Jenna Ortega
If you told us Jenna Ortega was going to help usher crimped hair back into trendiness, we would've said, “Actually, yeah, that seems feasible.” Her perfectly imperfect, loose, low updo was made especially interesting with a mix of textures, including those ‘80s-associated little ridges—but in a soft way.
To achieve the look, hairstylist Cesar Deleon Ramirez braided random sections around Jenna's head, sprayed each one with an alcohol-free hairspray, then flat-ironed them and let them cool and set. “Once they cooled, I unbraided each section to create a light crimped texture for a bit of a Victorian vibe.”
Her makeup was also quite soft, with a muted brown lip—makeup artist Melanie Inglessis used a combination of Dior Rouge Dior Contour in #229 Rose Spice, Rouge Dior On Stage in #390 Redwood Star, and Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in #081 Latte—barely any eyeliner, and what’s become her signature bleached brows.
Jennifer Lawrence
Should you ever find yourself wondering what it might look like if Venus, the Roman goddess of love, got bangs, look no further than Jennifer Lawrence at the Golden Globes. Her entire look was oozing with romance in the most modern way, including free-flowing, long layers and what we have to admit is maybe the most perfect date-night makeup inspo we've ever seen. We can't wait to copy that smoky, shimmery shadow in mauve-meets-bronze hues for Valentine's Day.
Lisa
Lisa stepped onto the red carpet and seemingly out of a fairytale, wearing a sheer, black gown that reads witchy forest nymph in the most fabulous way. Her hair continues to tell that fantastical story with Rapunzel-like length, the loosest waves, and casually wispy bangs. Her nails complete the magical look with silver chrome on a clear, glassy set, created by nail artist Juan Alvear with Aprés Gel-X Short Natural Almond Tips.
Julia Roberts
Some signature looks still take our breath away, no matter how many times we see it, and yes, we're talking specifically about Julia Roberts. Chronically gorgeous in a subtle smoky eye and nude lips, she brought her rooty, strawberry blonde to the Golden Globes styled in her usual but never boring voluminously middle-parted waves. And we hope her classic red manicure proves to anyone with less-than-long nails that, yes, it's cool to wear a bold colour on shorties like hers.
Ariana Grande
It's been so fun watching Ariana Grande's look slowly, subtly move away from the gorgeous Glinda bubble she's been gladly trapped in for the last few years. Her transition to darker hair is definitely the most noticeable switch, but she's also been playing around with how she styles it, too, and her Golden Globes look is the latest twist on her penchant for ponytails.
Her hairstylist gave tendril lovers an idea for a whole new way to wear one, tucking Ariane's bangs behind a section of hair left loose not from her hairline but a bit farther back—still elegant, but a bit more playful and creative. She stuck with fresh, light pink tones for her makeup, including R.E.M. Beauty's On Your Collar Plumping Lip Gloss.
Teyana Taylor
Teyana Taylor's signature short, swoopy curls never fail to charm—hairstylist Nikki Nelms used SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Define and Shine Styling Gel to shape it to perfection—but she knocked us over even further with her sharp and shimmering eye makeup. Her lids are topped with a silvery sparkle that's also wedged between precisely drawn black wings along both her upper and lower lashes. Her lips shine, too, with an ombré look in tawny brown hues, an effect created by makeup artist Bella Mayven with Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat pencil in Foxy Brown and Big Lip Plumpgasm gloss in Nudegasm Diamonds.
Tessa Thompson
Tessa Thompson, nominated for her performance in Hedda, went full mermaid with her metallic, beaded, scale-like dress, and the theme extended to her shiny, long waves so glossy that it's a borderline wet look. “Once the hair was dry, I used a wave iron to create texture," hairstylist Lacy Redway says. "To finish, I used the SheaMoisture Bond Repair Amla Oil to break up the waves and create a more natural finish and shine.”
Makeup artist Alex Babsky kept her makeup super soft, with her winged eyes as the focal point. He defined the upper lash line with Sisley Paris Phyto-Khol Perfect in Shade N°1 Black and layered it with Ligne Noire Eyeliner.
Audrey Nuna
If you thought Audrey Nuna's Critics' Choice Awards look was bold and beautiful—well, she was just getting started. The KPop Demon Hunters star couldn't hide incredible makeup look behind her veil: black lips, icy-pink cheeks, and perhaps the glowiest skin of the night. The veil seamlessly transitions into sculptural braids, and the almost mythical look was topped off with perfectly clear glass tips over her natural nails.
Brittany Snow
If you've ever laboured under the delusion that a loose ponytail can't look formal, take a look at Brittany Snow and be enlightened. She wore her golden blonde hair in the lowest possible pony—so low, in fact, that her middle-parted tendrils (which hairstylist Glen Oropeza made sure stayed smooth with Kérastase Gloss Absolu Glaze Drops) reached well beyond her shoulders. Almost as long: her incredibly long lashes, which offset her glossy, rosy lips.
Pamela Anderson
Pamela has delivered masterclass after masterclass in red carpet beauty surprises of late (remember the feathery Farrah Fawcett-esque bob?). And these Golden Globes were no exception as the star embraced going back to her platinum blonde roots after a brief foray into red tones. Opting for an elegant bouffant and side-swept fringe, the real drama lay in the elaborate French twist at the back styled by John Nollet. Makeup-wise there were few surprises: a chic, barely-there base and glowing skin.
Jessie Buckley
Few may have thought that anything could upstage her baby blue Dior gown, but Jessie and her hairstylist Bryce Scarlett had other ideas. Donning a chin-skimming, high-shine pixie with casually flicked-out ends, Bryce prepped her hair with an arsenal of Goldwell haircare products designed to hold the show-stopping, poker-straight style (think the Just Smooth Taming Shampoo and Conditioner, Smoothing Serum Spray and Texture Mattifying Paste). A dash of bronzer and a pretty peachy lip completed the look.
Odessa A'Zion
She needs no introduction - and neither do her gorgeous Botticelli curls, which Odessa let tumble over her shoulders. The blueprint for her makeup was clear: keep the focus on the eyes with a full, straight brow and dramatic black kohl eyeliner in an extended wing. The finishing touch? A soft pinky flush on the cheeks and pillowy halo lips, characterised by a lighter rose shade in the centre and a blurred outer rim.
