Bombay: According to a recent development, actress Deepika Padukone is under the scanner of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Actress Padmaavat’s name emerged after her manager Karishma Prakash and KWAN talent management agency CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar were summoned by BCN.
The actress was reportedly named in the manager’s talks. In chats accessed by Time now, the discussions allegedly concerned drugs. Times Now’s Meghna Deka said new angles emerged on Tuesday in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
According to the discussions, Deepika Padukone and a person named “K” were having a conversation about drugs. The name is K is believed to be that of Karishma Prakash, a manager who works with KWAN Management.

In the threads, a message asking Prakash “maal” is sent to him. The name “K” answers that she has the “maa”; (allegedly referring to drugs) but at home and she is in Bandra. K is also asked to recover the alleged contraband from a person named Amit. In the chat, Deepika tells K that she wants hash, not weed. To which, K replies that she has hash. Sources revealed that the NCB will send a summons to the actress.
Speaking to The Times Now, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said he was shocked at the names that emerged during the investigation into the case. Tiwari said strict action should be taken against those involved in the cartel. He added that although not all of Bollywood is involved in drug abuse and trafficking, legal action should be taken against those who have been subjected to the scanner.
